Step 3: Scaling within the Cube - Download Examples -
The Cube File: The cube file (Included with the download) comes with two unit types: Metric and US Standard. The file contains a set of cube boxes that provide you with an accurate scaling system.
Why do I need Cubes? Great question. The Cube provides you with a way to measure the size and cost of any model you print. For example: You have a 3D model that fits within a 1 x 1 x 3 inch cubic area. That would mean you need to order 3 cubes for print from the Purchase page.
How to use the Cube files successfully
1. Open the Cube file 2. Merge or Import your model in to the scene 3. Scale your 3D model to fit within the cube size you want printed. (For instance, a three inch G.I.Joe toy would take up about four cubes) 4. Count the number of cubes encompassing the 3D model (Remember the number for later)
